Safety, Support, and Solidarity: Meet WILD at Rifflandia 2025
Share
At Rifflandia, we believe that music festivals should be spaces of joy, connection, and community care—and that means looking out for one another, both on and off the dance floor. That’s why we’re proud to partner with WILD Collaborative Harm Reduction Association for this year’s festival.
WILD is a BC-based, peer-led and peer-run non-profit committed to changing the way communities think about harm reduction. Their mission is grounded in compassion, empowerment, and accessibility—and their work shows up in real, tangible ways at events like Rifflandia.
What You Can Expect from WILD at Rifflandia:
Whether you’re front row at the Main Stage or taking a breather at Matullia, WILD’s team will be on-site throughout the weekend to offer:
🌈 Outreach Support & On-Site Safe Spaces
A calm place to regroup, ground yourself, or connect with a peer when you need it most.
🛟 Incident Response & Assessments
Trained staff and volunteers will be available to assist with real-time support when something just doesn’t feel right.
☀️ Basic Needs Essentials
From sunscreen and shade to menstrual products and sexual health supplies, WILD’s got you covered with the festival survival items that often get forgotten.
💊 Safer Substance Use Education & Naloxone Training
WILD will be offering free naloxone kits and training, plus resources on safer use to help reduce risk and empower informed decisions.
💡 On-Site Drug Checking
In collaboration with Victoria’s Substance Drug Checking Project, WILD will provide drug checking services to help festival-goers make safer, smarter choices.
This is harm reduction in action—supportive, non-judgmental, and centered on care.
Where to Find WILD
Closer to the festival, we’ll update this article, as well as post to our Instagram, to share details so you’ll know exactly where to find WILD on the festival grounds. Keep an eye out for their tent or mobile teams, and don’t hesitate to stop by, even just to say hi.
At Rifflandia, we’re here to dance, celebrate, and take care of each other. Thanks to WILD, we’re doing it with even more intention, safety, and heart.
