Stimuli:

Rifflandia Festival is an outdoor festival featuring multiple stages, activities and large gatherings of people. The festival sees more than 25,000 people over the course of the event, with peak attendance closest to when headlining performers take the stage. Areas of the festival may become crowded. The stages often feature strobing lights, and other visual effects that may be difficult for individuals with visual sensitivities. The stages will be omitting amplified sound, so it is recommended that attendees bring ear protection, or purchase ear protection at the festival. The stages will often feature atmospheric haze or fog for effect, which will be most concentrated closest to the stages.

Washrooms:

A series of accessible portable washrooms will be available on-site, including next to the accessible viewing areas, and in the general washroom areas. All accessible washrooms are gender-inclusive.

Smoking:

Smoking is only permitted in the designated smoking areas. This includes the use of cannabis and e-cigarettes or vapes. It is not permitted to bring cannabis purchased outside of the festival, but cannabis products are available for purchase on-site through our retail partners at Splifflandia.

Food & Beverage:

There will be multiple Food Trucks offering a wide selection of cuisines, which we will announce on the Rifflandia instagram account closer to the event dates. There will be both alcoholic (including Beer and Ready-to-Drink Cocktails), and non-alcoholic beverages available on-site. For alcoholic beverages you can visit any of our bars or beverage partner activations. For non-alcoholic beverages, you can visit So:Bar, our dedicated non-alcoholic bar, as well as RiffMart which carries items like water and soda. Attendees are permitted to bring in their own food, but outside beverages are not permitted. It is recommended that attendees bring their own reusable water bottles as Rifflandia Festival has water refill stations available.

Is there Wifi on-site?:

There is no dedicated festival Wifi on-site.

WILD Harm Reduction Services

Rifflandia Festival is proud to partner with WILD Collaborative Harm Reduction Association. WILD is a peer-lead and peer-run BC based non-profit society that works to shift the way communities talk about and engage in harm reduction measures and harm reduction philosophies. This year at Rifflandia, WILD will be offering outreach supports, on-site safe spaces, incident assessments and services, and basic needs (sunscreen, earplugs, menstrual, shade, etc), as well as safer substance use education, naloxone trainings and kits, and consumption supplies).

WILD is also partnering with the Substance Drug Checking Project in Victoria to provide safety checks at the festival.

WILD can be found inside and to the right of the Rifflandia Main Entrance at Government St. and Princess Ave.

First Aid Services

Elite Security & First Aid Services will be at the festival with a dedicated first aid team, including Primary Care Paramedics, Emergency Medical Responders, and certified Occupational First Aid attendants. They will have a dedicated FIRST AID tent, as well as roaming personnel around the site. Their equipment includes basic first aid supplies, oxygen, an external defibrillator (AED), stretchers, blankets, and patient beds.
