General Questions

When is Rifflandia Festival 2024?

Rifflandia will take place September 13 - 15, 2024.

Where is Rifflandia Festival Located?

The festival will be held at Matullia Lands at Rock Bay (North-west corner of Pembroke St. & Government St.)

Are there age restrictions?

Rifflandia is all ages.

Is there re-entry to your venue?

Yes, you can leave and re-enter the festival site.

What happens if an artist cancels?

Scheduled artists are subject to change or cancellation. Tickets will not be refunded due to artist cancellation(s).

What happens if it's raining?

Rifflandia will happen, rain or shine!

We encourage folks to check the weather before heading to the festival and to plan accordingly.

Is Rifflandia Accessible?

Yes, the venue has accessible, step-free entrances, accessible viewing areas and seating, washroom facilities and designated quiet areas.

Here are the approximate distances between the areas on-site:

  • Main Gates to Phillips Accessible Viewing Area: 150ft
  • Main Gates to Main Stage Accessible Viewing Area: 500ft
  • Phillips Accessible View Area to closest beverage service: 50ft
  • Phillips Accessible Viewing Area to food services: 400ft
  • Main Stage Accessible Viewing Area to closest beverage service: 50ft
  • Main Stage Accessible Viewing Areato food services: 100ft
  • Main Stage Accessible Viewing Area to front of Main Stage: 200ft
  • Main Gates to Dome Stage: 650ft

The ground at the festival is a combination of paved concrete and astroturf.

Accredited guide and service animals are welcome, but unfortunately we are unable to accommodate companion, therapy or emotional support animals.

Accessibility companions will be eligible for a complimentary ticket for Rifflandia 2024 closer to the event date, if their client has purchased a ticket to the festival. To apply for an accessibility companion ticket, please fill our our intake form by clicking here.

How do I get to the festival from out of town?

Whether you’re making your way from up-island, hopping the pond from Vancouver, or trekking from down-south in Seattle, there are many options when traveling to Rifflandia!

What can I bring into the venues?

Permitted:

  • Empty water bottle, hydration packs (sorry, no glass!)
  • Blankets
  • Small backpack/bags (bags may be searched upon entry)
  • Outside food
  • Sunscreen 
  • Strollers and small children's wagons
  • Small parasols
  • a ‘Festival chair’ aka short-backed chairs with legs shorter than 8 inches
  • And most importantly, a fun attitude!

Not Permitted:

  • Chairs with legs longer than 8 inches
  • Large backpacks
  • Outside Liquids
  • Golf or Patio Umbrellas
  • Tents
  • Coolers
  • Weapons
  • Outside Cannabis - visit Splifflandia inside the festival for your cannabis needs!
  • Pets (unless accredited service animal)
  • Drones
  • No professional camera/recording equipment unless accredited media

Ticket Questions

What is the refund policy?

All ticket purchases are final sale, we do not issue refunds or exchanges. Rifflandia takes place rain or shine.

Can I get a physical ticket?

Tickets can only be purchased online through our website and will be delivered digitally.

I can’t find my ticket / can’t locate my order!

Please contact our friends at Front Gate Tickets for assistance with buying tickets or questions relating to your purchase here!

Can I transfer my ticket to another person?

Yes. You can just forward them the barcode or QR code found in your confirmation email.

Please note: the barcode/QR code can only be scanned once to receive a wristband.

Where can I exchange my ticket for a wristband?

All tickets will need to be redeemed for a wristband to enter the festival.

Wristband Questions

Can I share my wristband with friends?

Wristbands are to be worn for the duration of the festival and are non-transferable. Please do not remove your wristband once it is on, otherwise it will become void and will not be valid for entry.

What happens if my wristband gets lost or stolen?

Treat your wristband like your phone! Lost, stolen, tampered, and/or confiscated wristbands will not be replaced.

How tight does my wristband need to be?

Your wristband needs to be snug, about a finger’s width of space between your wrist and wristband. Loose wristbands will be tightened by security at the point of entry.

Do I need to exchange my ticket for a wristband?

Yes, all tickets will need to be redeemed for a wristband to enter the festival.

Can someone pick up my wristband for me?

The person exchanging the ticket for a wristband does not need to match the name on the ticket.

Please note:

We do not replace lost or stolen wristbands.

Tickets can only be scanned once to receive a wristband.

Kidlandia Questions

Are there tickets available for kids?

A limited quantity of specially-priced tickets for Kids (2-12 years old) are available to purchase on our tickets page!

Kids under 2 do not need a ticket to attend.

Please ensure all kids have appropriate hearing protection.

Please note: age verification is required upon receiving a kids wristband. A birth certificate, passport, or BC Health Services card will be accepted as proof of age.

Kids must be accompanied by a guardian on our festival site at all times.

Lost & Found

What do I do if I lost something at the festival?

If you have lost something at the festival, there's two steps you can take:

1. You can find a security staff member and inquire about your missing item.

2. You can let us know by filling out out Lost & Found form.

Rifflandia will hold onto all Lost & Found items for a maximum of 30 days after the festival, after which the unclaimed items will be donated.

What do I do if I find something at the festival?

If you've found something, please take it to the nearest security staff on-site.
