A large crowd at a concert raises their hands as smoke and lights fill the stage. Bold yellow text in front reads, “Respect is the Rhythm.”.

Respect Is the Rhythm: A Reminder from Rifflandia

At Rifflandia, we believe music brings people together—but it’s respect that keeps us connected.

As we get ready to dance, laugh, sing, and celebrate on the Matullia Lands, we want to take a moment to remind everyone—whether you're an artist, a guest, a crew member, a vendor, or a fan—that our festival only works when we care for one another.

Our Rifflandia Festival Ethos is simple: show up with respect, empathy, and kindness. That means being mindful of how your words, actions, and energy affect those around you. It means recognizing the power dynamics that can exist in any space—and actively choosing not to misuse them. It means speaking up when something feels off, and creating room for everyone to feel safe and seen.

Harmful or discriminatory behaviour of any kind—whether on-site or online—has no place here. Our team reserves the right to revoke access to the festival if this ethos is violated. Full stop.

So before you head through the gates, take a breath and remember: your presence shapes the vibe. Let’s make it joyful. Let’s make it inclusive. Let’s make it unforgettable—for all the right reasons.

If you ever see or experience something that doesn’t align with this Ethos, please let us know at reporting@rifflandia.com. We’re listening.

See you out there,

 💛 – The Rifflandia Team
